Company history
Billingham & Kite came from humble beginnings. As WWII was coming to an end, its founder William Billingham started his painting and building repair business. As the company grew it encompassed maintenance of schools, libraries, hospitals, town halls and housing, employing more than 40 people and in 1953 William built his first house.
Following on from William’s success, Roy took the helm and now Billingham & Kite is run by the third generation, David, and continues to thrive and expand. Today over 1,000 Billingham & Kite homes have been built, incorporating many traditional crafts and techniques along side the advancements of technology and energy saving specifications.

Whilst we still build using traditional skills and methods, our homes incorporate many high tech fixtures and fittings together with energy saving features.
Our homes encompass extensive living spaces with features such as spacious family rooms with bi fold doors and kitchens with stunning roof lanterns teamed with integrated appliances and beautiful work surfaces.

Our Hagley site manager and Director, David Billingham, has won a Quality Award in the first round of NHBC’s Pride in the Job Awards 2022. From a field of more than 8,000, David is one of 443 site managers to be awarded the accolade for their work at Pearmain Garden in Hagley.
Organised by NHBC, the UK’s leading new homes warranty and insurance provider, Pride in the Job celebrates site managers who have achieved the very highest standards in house building across the UK. It is the most highly regarded competition in the house-building industry and the most prestigious benchmark for exceptional site managers.

Billingham & Kite were nominated and won an LABC award. These regional building excellence awards recognise quality in all types of the building project. This has enabled us to gain recognition for our high standards and reward our team for their excellent work and dedication.
